Anna is an Official Missionary

At 8 pm last night Anna was officially set apart as a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints By President Allen! She was given a beautiful blessing and you can tell she was crying her eyes out in these pictures! Mom was assigned as her companion until she checks in at the MTC on Wednesday at 1pm!

Missionary Farewell Weekend

It's getting close to my entry to the MTC!! Cannot believe it's almost time!! This past weekend was my missionary farewell and despite it being the end of Spring Break- many people came!! I was so bummed that many close friends were out of town but the ward showed up along with neighbors!! It was so special to have about half of my Mom's amazing siblings & Grandparents here this weekend! My Mother's parents Grandpa & Grandma Azbil, Aunt Holly with Cousins Hailey & Britney, Uncle David & Aunt Jeany with Cousin Steven and of course my fabulous Aunt Kastle flew in with baby Cousin Elizabeth and it was sooo special to have her here!! She helped so much with food prep before the Open House! I really felt support from everyone around me and I loved my talk in Sacrament meetings. I really spent my time & energy on that talk and I even bore my testimony for the first time in Spanish!! Anyways, here's just a few pictures of this past weekend! Thankyou to everyone who helped with food & letting me borrow things!

Missionary Farewell Pre-Jitters

I can't believe the time has come!! It's my Missionary Farewell weekend!! So excited with everything that's going on!! My Mom and I have been running around trying to buy up the things on my list still!! It is VERY overwhelming!! There are so many little things and I don't know what's going to be available in Argentina especially when I get into the rural areas of my mission field. Anyway I'll get back to focusing on the positive ; ) Friday Evening my Aunt Kastle is flying in with Cousin Elizabeth while my Uncle Michael is awesome enough to stay home with my cousins Chandler & Jacob! Family is going to meet up at the Temple around 12:30 and do a session together on Saturday!! EXCITING! Sunday I'll be speaking in sacrament meeting!! I've thought about this talk since I was pretty young!! Can't believe is finally happening!! Last but not least My Open House Sunday at 6pm with buffet dinner being served! I can't wait to see everyone there!! ; ))) I finally fly out on the 30th with my Mom to the MTC!

Ideas for Care Packages

Okay So I'm sure I'm going to get a lot of crap for making this list but people have already been asking me what kinds of things I would actually want in a care package while I'm at the MTC or the actual Mission field. I don't certainly don't expect anything but if you're interested here are some ideas! If you send it through the church address- my odds are hugely increased of actually receiving it & shouldn't be an issue!! I was also just told that you should put Jesus & christian stickers all over the packages as another way to make sure you want it to get there!!!! Let me just make a disclaimer: I certainly am NOT demanding or expecting anything from anyone however, if people want to send me stuff I may as well give you an idea of what I would actually need!! This is really for extended family members but I won't stop ya from trying
; )

Ideas:

Things I would love food wise would be:
YUMMY Earth candy : organic/vegan/totally natural pure candy- AMAZING & can be found at Whole Foods or online @ http://www.yummyearth.com/index.html
Any Kashi brand snacks or cereal bars are AWESOME!
Good quality trail Mix- please avoid the kind where the nuts are coated in sugar but I'll take anything really (Target has some fabulous Target Archer farms trail mix)
Chocolate Cheerios - brand new cereal made with real cocoa & about same calories as regular!!
Larabars - chocolate flavors (except for choc coffee) Lime or lemon flavor,
chocolate coconut chew flavor. These are my favorites but I'll take anything! This is something that I could really use over there as it's a pure healthy energy bar! Walmart/ most HEB's and Krogers carried these!!
Extra Fruit Sensation gum: flavors like berry Smoothie, watermelon, strawberry banana
* When it comes down to it anything healthy & pure food-wise is perfect!!
******Cover Girl Lash Blast Luxe: any black shade and no waterproof please!********
Clorox or Lysol disinfectant wipes
baby wipes/ feminine wipes (either is fine)
Multipurpose Contact Solution
Venus Gillette Razor HEADS refills.....don't buy the latest ones cause they're twice the price!! (Not the disposable razors - the disposable razor heads)
Suave 24 hr Protection "roll-on" anti-perspirant/deodorant (It's at Wal-mart for sure)
Vitamin B-12
Multipurpose Woman's Vitamins -any cheap brand is just fine....
Facewash!!! Any scrubbing kind/ any brand would be AMAZING!

I'm sure I'll think of more stuff but for now here's things I'm sure I can't get over there.....and how can I forget: Pictures of family & kids & letters of encouragement????!!! I'll edit this list as I think of more stuff.....

Here's ALL the addresses again for packages....my blog has addresses listed on the aide for pouch mail & letters

Pray for the Missionaries & People of Chile

As many of you have heard there was a massive Earthquake in Chile resulting in many deaths & destruction of the Cities. Please keep the Missionaries & People of Chile in your thoughts & prayers. It appears that the Missionaries are now forced to live in the Church Building as their homes have suffered too much damage. Keep them in your prayers as they are still suffering from aftershocks! Here's a link that was sent to me which briefly talks about the Church & Missionaries.

P.S. Apparently Part of Argentina suffered a smaller Earthquake after Chile
